The role of gender experienced by women today have historical and cultural roots. However, economic development and ease of communication between people brought to the society the opportunity to discuss the affective and sexual relationships more openly. The objective of this study was to investigate the perception of changes in female sexuality from the point of view of three different generations of women and characterize sexual well-being indicators and social aspects. The sample consisted of 186 women aged 18 to 49 who answered 65 questions electronically on socio-demographics, health, emotional behavior and sexual behavior. Overall the women expressed satisfaction on the affective and sexual aspects. Many commonalities were found among the three decades studied. Regardless of age, women reported greater ease and openness in dealing with sexuality today, but also brought some concepts and values that were transmitted by previous generations, not corresponding with female freedom conquered.
