SEXUAL BEHAVIOR, PRACTICES AND SEXUAL PREVENTION STRATEGIES OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS

The undetectability and non-transmissibility of the HIV virus can determine the sexuality of people living with this microorganism. When evaluating sexual behavior and practices, there is an opportunity to promote the use of preventive measures. The objective the study to identify the behavior, sexual practices and prevention strategies of people living with HIV (PVHIV). Cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach carried out in a city in the interior of São Paulo. Structured interviews were carried out with three questionnaires (sociodemographic and behavior, sexual practices and prevention strategies). The interviews took place at the health service in Ribeirão Preto – SP, Brazil. People Living HIV and assisted in the service were considered and those who did not attend consultations were excluded; under 18 years old; people deprived of liberty treated at the service, in addition to pregnant women. The questionnaires were typed into the REDCap® online platform and transported to the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences® (SPSS), version 22.0 for prior analysis of the results. The analyzes carried out were descriptive (frequencies – absolute and relative, mean and standard deviation). The study was approved by the EERP/SP Research Ethics Committee, under opinion number 5,982,861. 284 PLHIV participated. The majority were cisgender, white, homosexual and single men, with a steady sexual partnership and had not had anal sex without a condom in the last 6 months. Practices such as oral and anal sex and inconsistent condom use were the most prevalent.
