Abstract

This work intends to think a human being who, to emancipate herself/ himself, needs to give up autonomy. The transsexual is now an unintelligible genre when it comes to the socio-cultural aspect, a subject annulled in its identity expression, this unfitted body, object, bother and disturb, since the cultural significance given by the social environment dismisses what he knows about himself/ herself, his/ her ideological construction is crossed by a strangeness. By the moment s/he perceives himself/herself transsexual, as s/he is outside the standard dichotomy, s/he faces the necessity of abdicating his/her autonomy, in order to allow self diagnosis and, therefore, be “colonized” by the institutional biopower.
