REFLECTIONS ON SOCIALIZATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF SEXUALITY

This article aims to analyze the construction of sexuality of children who have built their childhoods in the vicinity of the prison while their parents, especially mothers, served time in prison in units of the prison system. With relation to sexuality, it is experienced by the individual person, but is composed by the field of social relations, culture, values and social forms of life. The theoretical basis of the proposed theme focuses on the cultural and social approach. Methodologically defined as a qualitative research, this ethnographic case study allowed us to know the meanings and cultural experiences of infancy.It was found that children that try to visit their parents in the prison, experience the consequences of the barriers placed by the institution, since the process of identification and recognition - a prerequisite for structuring subjective - there is a coexistence with models that experience subordination, rape and social exclusion. Different parameters and patterns of sexual behavior of those prisoners are experienced by some children on visits and admission to prisons, there are no surveillance, sexual orientation and meaningful information to the sexual development of boys and girls.
