The aim of this study was to analyze the discourse of women diagnosed with HIV about sexuality considering the generational characteristics. A qualitative research was carried out in a specialized care service with 39 women. The collection instrument was the interview and the Discourse Analysis technique enabled semantic and logical operations that revealed the language in interaction through the category. The results revealed that sexuality is conceived according to generational subgroups as being faithful to an affective sexual relationship, which is not always satisfactory (young people); regret, fear and jealousy of the partner, keeping the focus on self-care and the maternal role (adults and middle-aged); centered on the binomial child/infection and self-censorship (elderly). The divergent generational aspects confirm the need for new studies that address the theme by revealing a sexuality that is denied and needs to remain secret, configuring and enhancing female vulnerabilities that demand care and professional skills, considering these specificities.
