The authors formulate some reflections about the importance of sexuality, including a view of woman’s role in the world, particularly in Brazil. Then, the authors approach their difficulties and sexual dysfunction relating them to their life history as well as to present and past sexual experiences. From this they search for the solution of symptoms through treatment based on sexual therapy techniques and group psychotherapy. Subjectively the therapists had the impression of a significant improvement of the sexual function, also associated with self esteem. Although the small number of the sample did not justify a statistical study the questionnaires confirmed this evaluation. As an illustration fragments of clinical material are cited.
