The word autism is derived from the Greek "autos" with the sense of "turning to oneself". The first investigations of autism began in 1911 by psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler, being studied specifically in 1943 by psychiatrist Leo Kanner, receiving new concepts from 1980s with the arrival of Diagnostic and Statistical Manuals (DSM) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and is currently classified as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). What does national literature offer to understand autistic sexuality? To answer this question, it was made a systematic literature review and meta-analysis were performed in the following databases: SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and BDTD (Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações). The keywords were autism, sex education, family and sexuality. Results: 07 published papers (Scielo 01; BDTD 06) excluded 02 not related to the theme. We analyzed 05 in full categorized by thematic axes: family members (3); teachers (1); other professionals: speech therapist, occupational therapist and specialist teacher (1). There is an insignificant number of studies focusing on autistic sexuality, this reality reveals the need for investment in professional and multidisciplinary training to guide and dialogue with the family, school, church and other matrices of sense about autistic affective / sexual manifestations.
