TRANSTORNOS DE DOR GÊNITO-PÉLVICA/PENETRAÇÃO: UMA EXPERIÊNIA DE ABORDAGEM INTERDISCIPLINAR EM SERVIÇO PÚBLICO

Abstract

This study addresses the implementation of an interdisciplinary approach offered in Female Sexual Dysfunctions for patients with genital-pelvic/penetration pain complaints. It is a specialized outpatient clinic for sexual health care, in a public hospital located in southern Brazil. The patients are assisted through joint consultations, which bring together in the same scenario a gynecologist specialized in sexual health and a pelvic physiotherapist, together with the patient in order to improve care. The objective is to share the authors' experience in conducting this approach of Genito-pelvic/ penetration Pain Disorders, seeking to demonstrate that it is possible to treat patients with pain in sexual intercourse in a public outpatient clinic by the Unified Health System, aligning strategies of interdisciplinary treatment.
