In order to evaluate the relationship between physical exercise and sexuality in elderly women, a search
was made for articles published in Portuguese and English, based on: Pubmed, Scopus, Medline, Lilacs, BDENF, IBECS, Cumed, using as descriptors: “Aged”, “Exercise” and “Sexuality”. The selected articles were submitted to CASP and the Hierarchical Evidence Classification for quality evaluation, resulting in 7 articles. The results showed that older women who practice physical exercises, such as walking and yoga, are more likely to be sexually active. It is concluded that physical exercise brings numerous benefits among them, the increase of desire, functionality and the best practice of sexuality.
