This paper reflects on the theme of sexuality, highlighting educational aspects, especially related to people with intellectual disabilities. It appears the broader concept of sexuality that goes beyond the sexual act, and considers physiological, psychological, cultural, historical and social aspects of this phenomenon. One sexuality panorama is proposed in our current society, with emphasis on the conflicts experienced by young people. It introduces the topic of sexual education, with a brief resume of its history and exposure of its principles and practices today. It is debate the role of educator and possible strategies to work the issue. In this context, it proposes reflections on sexuality and sexual education with people with intellectual disabilities. They are debated some intellectual disability concepts and myths regarding sexuality. It is proposed reflections on practices, seeking to demystify mistaken beliefs and expanding possibilities for education, which assists people a positive and healthy experience of their sexuality, which is a right of all citizens, with or without disabilities.
