SEX EDUCATION FOR ADOLESCENTS
AN EXTENSION PROJECT EXPERIENCE

The extension project “Sexual Education: forming networks of socialization” of the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), arose from the need of study and discussion of the topic, and especially by the demand of requests for intervention in local schools, orientation for students and teachers. Through questionnaire in classes served by the project in the years 2011 to 2013, data on students’ behavior and knowledge about issues related to sexuality such as puberty, body changes, menarche, semenarche, masturbation, erection, orgasm, initiation were raised and pleasure in sexual relations. The experience over the project shows the positive impact of university involvement in the sex education of adolescents in the community, by providing also the academics, the experience of this work as part of university educations.
