Domestic violence against children and adolescents is a prevalent phenomenon in the history of Western civilization, being socially constructed, founded on beliefs, values, standards and permissible from a given time and cultural, representing a major public health problem. Objective: To verify the epidemiological profile of sexual violence against adolescents living in the city of São Paulo. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study. The search for data was carried out through Information and Surveillance System for Violence and Accidents SIVVA - the Health Surveillance Coordination (Covisa) of the São Paulo Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS / SP).The period surveyed will be from January 2018 to March 2020. Variables used were the total number of cases, sex, age in years, cases of rape, sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, sexual option, transsexual adolescent, environment where violence occurred and who carried out the violence, in adolescents aged 10 to 19, living in São Paulo. Results and discussion: According to the data collected, we obtained 2559 cases of sexual violence in the last 28 months, with a prevalence of 57% in the age group of 10 to 14 years and 43% of 15 to 19 years, where the rape variable comprised 1610 cases in heterosexual, homosexual and transsexual adolescents. For all the variables, the place with the highest number of violence committed was the residence and the main aggressor was the unknown variable. Conclusion: The numbers still remain in constant growth, even with the underreporting by health professionals who often do not know how to deal with this teenager and fear for his exposure, not notifying the violence correctly.
