Abstract

Sexuality presents a very important role in the lives of human beings. How to develop its dysfunctions depend on several factors, but whether to make an organic or psychosocial cause they are manifested in the organic component causing various disorders. The sexual dysfunctions are classified as a disorder of sexual desire, the excitement of orgasm and sexual pain. Despite the high prevalence of female sexual dysfunction, their understanding is not sufficiently substantiated hampering the therapeutic approach. Although recently, the role of physiotherapy in the sexual dysfunction is evolving and there are already reports in the literature on its benefits in the sexual life of women. Among the physical resources used in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions are the Kinesiotherapy or perineal exercises, the biofeedback, electrical stimulation and the perineal massage. However, it is valid to emphasize that a multidisciplinary approach is important for the monitoring of women who complain of sexual disorders.
