Abstract

Aging is discussed as part of the social changes in medicine and in society that occurred between the end of the twentieth century and at the beginning of the twenty-first century, which provided expectancy of longer life than in previous generations. It has been created a lot of personal and interpersonal challenges: men and women are older than their previous generations nowadays. Sexuality may be enjoyed without limit of age. Healthy habits are important in order to provide that the aging may be lived wealthy and must be acquired since youngness. Prejudice about sexuality in the third age has to be eliminated and affection between couples or people without regular partners should be increased so as to create a better quality of life.
