Abstract

Few things give such pride and satisfaction to the adult man -mainly if he is aroused and in the presence of the woman he loves - than to feel his flacid penis turning big, hard, powerful. Outcome of rapid and efficient blood flow rerouted, the erection changes in a very impressive way the anatomy of his organ, that becomes the biggest among the 193 species of primates known until today. Watching this organ at its maximum potency is, surely, an event that most men would like to see repeated many times in their lives, simply to show love, to pass the genes or for pure pleasure. But, the Homo ap in , who also brags about having the biggest and the more efficient brain among all primates, has the habit of entertaining himself with complex cogitations about his own behavior. Maybe because of this, many men spend much of their existence debating on a distressing conflict: on one side, watching their own penis as if it were the source of the most pleasurable moments of their lives, and on the other hand, blaming it as if it were the cause of their shame and frustrations. Clinical observations proves that the ambivalent feelings men have about their sexual performance can jeopardize, in great measure, their self-confidence, social adjustment and professional efficiency.
