EL IMPACTO DE LA PORNOGRAFÍA EN LA SEXUALIDAD DE LOS CONSUMIDORES - ESTADO DE LA LITERATURA ACTUAL

A pesar de su fácil acceso, actualmente se sabe poco sobre los efectos de la pornografía en la salud sexual de los consumidores, lo que se debe principalmente a la existencia de fragilidades metodológicas y prejuicios morales latentes que sesgan los resultados de los estudios. Por ello, varias revisiones sistemáticas y metanálisis se llevaron a cabo en los
últimos dos años sobre el impacto psicosexual de la pornografía en los consumidores, y estos estudios son revisados a lo largo del artículo. De los resultados, se percibe que existe evidencia sólida de que la pornografía se asocia con el aumento de conductas sexuales permisivas y la diversificación de prácticas sexuales por parte de los consumidores. En términos generales, la mayor parte de la evidencia muestra que el consumo de pornografía está asociado con efectos psicosexuales negativos, que dependen no solo de la frecuencia de uso, sino también de la apreciación subjetiva de su consumo por parte del individuo. Sin embargo, se observa que también han sido descrito efectos positivos y todavía hay poca información sobre los mediadores asociados con diferentes resultados. La discusión se refleja sobre la dirección que debe tomar la investigación científica.
