CONSUMO DE PORNOGRAFÍA Y SATISFACCIÓN SEXUAL EN UNA MUESTRA DE ADULTOS BRASILEÑOS

El consumo de pornografía, entendida como material sexualmente explícito destinado a provocar excitación sexual, está relacionado con la satisfacción sexual. El objetivo de este estudio fue investigar la relación entre el consumo de pornografía y la satisfacción sexual en una muestra de adultos brasileños. Se realizó una encuesta con 153 participantes adultos de ambos sexos, edad media de 27,06 (DE = 7,40) años. Los datos fueron recolectados en línea, con instrumentos autoadministrados que evalúan características de consumo de pornografía, satisfacción sexual, autoestima y satisfacción corporal. Los resultados mostraron que los hombres consumen pornografía antes (M = 13,20) que las mujeres (M = 14,79; t = -3,463; p = 0,001) y el consumo mensual es más frecuente en hombres (M = 6,41) que en mujeres (M = 4,50; t = 5,633; p = <0,001). La frecuencia de consumo de pornografía y el tiempo en minutos de acceso no se correlacionaron estadísticamente con la satisfacción sexual, así como con la autoestima y la satisfacción corporal. Se argumenta que la relación entre el consumo de pornografía y la satisfacción sexual está mediada por otros constructos.
