BÚSQUEDA EM LÍNEA DE INFORMACIÓN SOBRE LA SEXUALIDAD DE LOS ADOLESCENTES

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar una revisión de alcance sobre el comportamiento de búsqueda de información en línea sobre sexualidad por parte del público adolescente, entre los 10 y 19 años. La búsqueda inicial arrojó 1.145 registros distribuidos en las bases de datos BASE, EBSCO, EMBASE, PsycINFO, MEDLINE, Science Direct, Scopus y Web of Science, que, tras aplicar los criterios de elegibilidad, resultaron en ocho (8) trabajos científicos. Los estudios fueron analizados según variables genéricas y de interés. Los resultados indicaron que este comportamiento está influenciado por factores sociodemográficos (como el nivel socioeconómico, género, edad e identidad/orientación sexual) y por variables de interés (plataformas en línea utilizadas, motivaciones, confianza en la fuente, temas investigados y formas de uso de la información). También se observaron cuestiones emocionales entre los adolescentes, como confusión, frustración y ansiedad, asociadas al comportamiento de búsqueda de información sobre sexualidad. Estos hallazgos refuerzan la necesidad de incluir alfabetización en salud y medios en las estrategias de educación sexual, así como la importancia de ampliar los estudios que evalúen este comportamiento de manera integral. Se recomienda el uso de muestras sólidas que relacionen variables individuales y contextuales de los adolescentes con el comportamiento de búsqueda de información sobre sexualidad, desde las motivaciones hasta la aplicabilidad de la información.
