COMPETÊNCIAS CULTURAIS PARA ATENÇÃO À SAÚDE DE MINORIAS SEXUAIS E DE GÊNERO
UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

A literatura internacional evidencia os riscos adicionais e agravos à saúde que acometem as Minorias Sexuais e de Gênero (MSG), traz dados sobre assistência em saúde discriminatória que acarreta a baixa adesão e/ou maus resultados dos tratamentos, adiamento da busca por serviços de saúde, entre outros. Estudiosos apontam a lacuna na formação de profissionais de saúde para atuarem com competência cultural nas necessidades específicas dessa população. Para contribuir com iniciativas para a qualificação profissional e melhoria na atenção à saúde de MSG, este estudo objetivou descrever o que tem sido discutido e desenvolvido em relação às competências culturais para atuação de profissionais de saúde com MSG. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), no período dos últimos cinco anos (2019-2024). Os resultados demonstram a concentração da temática em duas categorias: 1) Artigos que discutem em termos teóricos Competências Culturais ou equivalentes para o fomento de um serviço de saúde inclusivo e 2) Artigos que relatam o desenvolvimento prático de Competência Cultural ou equivalente (treinamentos de pessoal, ações educativas, módulos educacionais) para o fomento de um serviço de saúde inclusivo.
