Sexual life in prisons has not being a social concern. Sex abstention in the prison context is taken as a natural fact and part the punishment. This is clearly observed in female prisons. In Women's Penal Colony of Bom Pastor (CPF), in Recife, women are stuck living today without prospects for sexual relationship with their partners. The Institution is run by nuns and sexual repression is intense. Despite thorough control of the expressions of sexuality, women find alternative ways of experiencing it, primarily by masturbation and homosexuality. By these practices "flouts" and "deviant" of sexuality, inmates ascertain their subject claims. Sexual manifestations in CPF are a form of institutional standards challenging countervailing displeasure institutional rules.
