CONSTRUCTION OF AN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ON THE SEXUALITY OF PEOPLE WITH SPINAL CORD INJURY

Objective: To build an educational technology, such as a digital book, for students and professionals in the healthcare field on the sexuality of individuals with spinal cord injuries. Method: Methodological research based on Instructional Design, following the phases of Analysis, Design, and Development. Contextual analysis was conducted using validated instruments that underwent Bardin's Analysis and categorization according to Health Descriptors. Subsequently, learning needs were identified, and learning objectives were defined according to Bloom's Taxonomy. Finally, an integrative review was conducted to support the content. In the Design phase, an initial plan for the digital book was developed, and the Canva tool and the Guidelines for Ebook Design were used in the Development phase for structuring the material. Results: 23 themes were selected, and 17 educational objectives were established to meet the competency of knowledge acquisition in the digital book. The result is a material with 66 pages, distributed across 14 chapters, addressing topics that directly and indirectly affect sexuality after a spinal cord injury. Conclusion: The educational technology built according to Instructional Design is pioneering and based on evidence-based practice. The digital book addresses the care and interventions that professionals and students can use to address the sexuality of individuals with spinal cord injuries.
