Abstract

The present work is a descriptive review of the work “Devassos no paraíso: homosexuality in Brazil from the colony to the present”, written by the author João Silvério Trevisan. Widely disseminated and referenced since its first edition, the title promoted an expressive dialogue between activists from the LGBTQIA + movement and researchers on the topic, providing a broad historical panorama on the construction of homosexuality in Brazil.

Author Biography

Matheus, Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro

Master's student in Psychology at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGPSI / UFRRJ). Psychologist at UFRRJ (2019). Researcher at CNPq Research Group - Nucleus of Actions and Reflections in Developmental Neuropsychology (NARN). She works in a private clinic with an emphasis on Psychological Assessment and Neuropsychology. He worked as a collaborator at Pearson Clinical Brasil, performing data collection to update the normative tables of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-III). Worked as a trainee in Neuropsychological Assessment and Rehabilitation at the Applied Psychology Service at UFRRJ, as a monitor of the discipline Psychodiagnosis II and as a scientific initiation fellow at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Research Support Foundation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ).
