THE LECTURES ON IMPORTANCE OF SEXUALITY IN PUBLIC EDUCATION

Abstract

Model Study: A field study with quantitative approach. Objective: To provide understanding for the 2nd students (second) year of public high school on adolescent sexuality and its repercussions. (The goal is not according to the study and presented results) Material and Methods: We conducted a lecture and applied a questionnaire to 38 students with an average age of participants of 16.53 ± 1.179 years. Results and Discussion: In the United States, and more recently in Brazil, pregnancy rates in adolescence are under constant increases. In Brazil every year, about 20% of babies born are children of adolescents (BRUNO, et al., 2009). Conclusion: The health team must be present to assist educators from schools to inform students about the different themes involving sexuality.
