Abstract

The sexuality is a social, historical and cultural construct that transcends genital, however, still constitutes a taboo subject, even though, paradoxically surrounded by an excess of exposure under different media today. Aimed to conduct a study on child psychosexual development from the perspective of psychoanalysis. It is a qualitative research, from observation of 04 (four) children in different psychosexual stage, and application of semi-structured interview their parents. Identified the existence of the psychosexual stages of children, with their experiences of the Oedipus Complex, Autoerotismo child, Feelings of ambivalence toward parents, Castration Complex, among other concepts. Have parents expressed surprise, curiosity and difficulty in dealing with the theme of the children sexuality. We conclude by noting constituent elements of psychoanalytic theory of infantile sexuality and the difficulty parents understand the related phenomena, which requires an educational psychologist intervention.
