It isa phenomenological study that searched for the understanding of the meaning of educational actions considering lhe sexual questions, according to theperspectiveof the fundamental grades teachers of publicand privateschools in thecity of Juiz de Fora- MG.It wasaccomplishedbetween of August, 2000, and July, 2001, and involved 7 women and I man, with different agesfrom 26to 50yearsold, whohad a worktime varying from I anda half yearto31years and were responsible for the disciplines of Sciences, Biology, Portuguese, Literature, Philosophy and others. For the data collection the teachers were approached, individually, through phenomenological interview. Toe guiding question was: How do you implement actionsof sexual education in theschool atmosphere and theonewhat youhavein mind when accomplishing that kindof work ? Through the analysis of the depositions. it was possible toabstract the meaning of theaccomplishmentofeducational actions in theschool atmosphere according to lhe concrete categories: School Programs; Need; SexuaJity and Difficulty. Toe study allows a reflection about the importance of the teachers' traini ng by the schools. They are citizens who participate of the youths' formation for the citizenship exercise, concerning the educational work in health, mainly, related tosexuality.
