Female sexual dysfunction encompasses conditions characterized by changes in typical sexual response in one or more of the following areas of the sexual response cycle: desire, arousal, orgasm, or pain. Physiotherapy directed at the woman’s pelvic floor can strengthen the musculature and provide better awareness of her own body, thus giving her conditions for a satisfactory sexual life. The aim of this study is to describe women’s perception of the quality of sexual / affective function after pelvic physiotherapy treatment for sexual dysfunction. This is a qualitative research, involving semi-structured interviews with women who underwent physiotherapeutic treatment for sexual dysfunction. Data treatment and analysis was based on the Content Analysis technique. The interviewees positively evaluate the therapy to which they were submitted, with emphasis on the humanization of physical therapists, in addition to the physical improvement of their dysfunctions, with an impact on their sexual and affective relationships.
