SEXO: ¿POCO AHORA O MUCHO DESPUÉS?
DIFERENCIAS EN PATRONES DE IMPULSIVIDAD Y AUTOCONTROL ENTRE INDIVIDUOS SOLTEROS Y COMPROMETIDOS

Objetivo: Investigar si existe un patrón de comportamiento de elección más impulsivo o autocontrolado entre individuos en relaciones comparado con aquellos que están solteros, utilizando el descuento del retraso con escenarios sexuales hipotéticos. Método: Se trata de un estudio empírico, cuantitativo, realizado con 51 participantes, hombres y mujeres cisgénero, mayores de 18 años y universitarios que estuvieran en relaciones o solteros. Resultados: Las personas en relaciones y las personas solteras descontaban de manera similar (U = 269, z = -1.038, p = 0.29), pero más personas en relaciones demostraron una mayor satisfacción sexual. Estos resultados se obtuvieron mediante los siguientes instrumentos: QSRS y una Tarea de Descuento del Retraso de actividades sexuales hipotéticas. Comprender cómo las personas en relaciones y las personas solteras toman decisiones sexuales contribuye a abordar problemas de salud asociados con el comportamiento sexual. Conclusiones: Existe una tendencia hacia una mayor impulsividad sexual en las personas en relaciones, con factores que pueden influir en esta dinámica y una asociación positiva entre el estado de relación y el contentamiento sexual.
