LA OFERTA DE SEXUALIDAD EN CURSOS DE ENFERMERÍA DE PREGRADO DE UNIVERSIDADES PÚBLICAS BRASILEÑAS

La sexualidad es una dimensión inherente para todas las personas y está presente a lo largo del ciclo de vida, impregnando la atención en la enfermería. El objetivo de esta investigación era mapear los cursos de enfermería de pregrado de las universidades públicas brasileñas que presentan la sexualidad en sus planes de estudio y analizar la oferta de temas sobre el tema. Es un método mixto de enfoque secuencial explicativo, con análisis de documentos curriculares de 110 cursos de enfermería y entrevistas semiestructuradas con 12 maestros. El procesamiento de datos incluyó un enfoque descriptivo, análisis de contenido e integración de resultados cuantitativos y cualitativos. El estudio reveló inconsistencias en la oferta de sexualidad en los planes de estudio de enfermería, destacando la devaluación, la falta de sistematización, la irregularidad y la ausencia del tema. Los maestros señalaron que la sexualidad se ha abordado de manera puntual y superficial, la importancia de la obligación de la sexualidad en los cursos y la necesidad de una discusión cruzada que impregna todo el proceso formativo. Este estudio destaca la necesidad de integrar sistemáticamente la sexualidad en los cursos de enfermería para preparar profesionales más competentes para la práctica clínica.
