Abstract

The transsexual is defined according to DMS IV as a gender upset in which is observed a persistent discomfort or inadequacy feeling to the paper of gender of his/her sex. In this work we presented six cases of transsexual feminine in attendance in the Projeto de Gênero e Transgenitalização in process in the
Ambulatório de Sexologia do Instituto de Ginecologia da UFRJ, that you/they look for an physical masculine identity. We presented the general and personal characteristics of each case and his evolution inside of the project in the several phases of the process: periodic consultations and application of tests, regular consultations for two years with verification of the physical and psychological conditions, administration of androgenic hormones, psychological interviews and begin of the surgical stages that they go by the mastectomy, hysterectomy with anexectomy and possible neo-faloplasty.
